Questions

Common questions

When is the personal tax deadline?
April 30 for most people, which is also when any balance owing is due. If you or your spouse or common-law partner are self-employed, the filing deadline is June 15, but any balance owing is still due April 30.
What do I need to bring?
Your tax slips (such as T4, T5 and T3), receipts for deductions and credits like RRSP contributions, medical expenses, donations and childcare, and last year’s notice of assessment. We’ll send you a checklist.
I haven’t filed for a few years. What now?
It’s fixable. We work out which years are missing, gather what’s needed and file them. Where it applies, we can also talk to you about CRA’s Voluntary Disclosures Program.
Do you prepare returns for the whole family?
Yes. Preparing a household’s returns together makes it easier to use family credits and pension income splitting where they apply.
